COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE
The Blood Connection will donate $10 per donor to Grace Lutheran Church. This will help the local blood banks prepare for the increased need for donated blood during the holiday season and help Grace Lutheran Church continue to serve this community.

We delivered three carloads of winter coats, gloves, sweaters and scarves and more hygiene kits on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Relief workers at the distribution site said they need clotheslines and clothespins as well as insect-repellent spray. Grace Lutheran Church is assembling Hygiene Kits for our brothers and sisters impacted by Hurricane Helene
*You can donate specific items by bringing them to the church or give cash via this online campaign to help us purchase supplies.
*Saturday, October 12th, at the church, come help us pack the kits – our goal is 1,000 Hygiene Kits!! Packing starts at 9:00 am.
Here are the specific items needed for each kit:
- One hand towel (15 x 25-17 x 27 inches)
- One washcloth
- One comb* Rattail and combs without handles are acceptable but must have at least 4-7 inches of teeth
- One toenail or fingernail clipper
- Bath-size soap (3 oz. bar or larger; Do not remove it from packaging)
- One adult toothbrush (Do not remove from packaging)
- Unopened toothpaste
- Hand sanitizer
- Small shampoo
- 10 adhesive bandages (3-1/2 by 3 inches) * Common household bandages are acceptable
- One 1-gallon size re-sealable bag

“Champions of Faith” Vacation Bible School teaches about the great love that God showed to mankind by the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Participants will discover Jesus, The Great Champion, who overcame all obstacles to win the greatest and most important victory for us!
Over the course of the week, we will look into the Bible, God’s Holy Word, and explore five Bible accounts with snacks, crafts, and games to show how Jesus leads the way in our lives.

The Protestant Reformation began in 1517 when a Roman Catholic priest, Martin Luther, challenged some of the teachings of the church. It is not an exaggeration to suggest that the Reformation changed the world, but Luther didn’t want to start a new church. He wanted to make changes in Catholicism, the faith in which he had been ordained. But his suggestions were rejected and he was branded a heretic.

Through five water themed Bible lessons, we will experience together the soul-quenching grace that surrounds us in Jesus. Over our week together, we will explore our Biblical accounts through storytelling, snacks, crafts, and games that show us the overflowing grace of God in Jesus.
