March 21, 2021The Fifth Sunday in Lent |
And Jesus called them to him and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Mark 10:42-45

As many of you know by now, Pastor Willsea was feeling ill and tested positive Friday morning for COVID-19. He is staying home in quarantine, please keep him and his family in your prayers.
John Kinney, an elder, conducted the service and read Pastor Willsea’s sermon. The service was abbreviated as we did not have Confession and Absolution or the Lord’s Supper.
Out of an abundance of caution, Services and Sunday school for tomorrow, March 21, have been cancelled. If you know of someone who does not use email or Facebook, please let him or her know that we won’t be having church this Sunday.
Pastor Willsea attended the Young at Heart Luncheon and the Lenten Supper and service on Wednesday, March 17th. If you attended any of these events, be aware that you may have been exposed to the virus and should make an appointment to be tested. If you are not feeling well, exercise caution, stay home and contact your physician. If you test positive for COVID, please let the church know. Thank you!
